FCT police on Friday said that all abductees from the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) have been rescued and reunited with their families.
Spokesperson for the Command Josephine Adeh said in a statement that the feat was achieved through a joint operation with other security agencies.
“The FCT Police Command wishes to inform members of the public that all abducted victims of the University of Abuja were rescued and reunited with their families through a joint operation with other security agencies,” said Adeh, promising to give details later.
Gunmen invaded the varsity’s staff quarters on Tuesday and kidnapped two professors, a non-academic member of staff, and three others.
Twenty-four hours later, they demanded N300 million ransom.
