Former chairman of First Bank of Nigeria Ltd Ibukun Awosika has expressed grief over the death of Pastor Nomthi Odukoya wife of Pastor Taiwo Odukoya of Fountain of Life Church.
Awosika described the deceased in an Instagram post as an “angel” who came into Fountain of Life Church and taught them “the simplicity of love and faith” by the way she lived and loved.
“You were a true light in our pastor’s life. Thank you for teaching us to enjoy our lives. I know you will enjoy yours in heaven. It’s hard to imagine not seeing you smile one more time. See you in heaven!” she added.
Nomthi died on Tuesday after a two-year battle with cancer, according to a statement by the church.
She was Odukoya’s second wife after the first Pastor Bimbo Odukoya died following a plane crash in 2005.
