Senior pastor of Fountain of Life Church Taiwo Odukoya mourned his wife Nomthi Odukoya in a tweet, saying he had 11 beautiful years of marriage with her.
Nomthi died on Tuesday after a two-year battle with cancer.
Announcing her death on Twitter, Odukoya who lost his first wife in a plane crash said he was grateful for the time spent with her.
“She gave me 11 beautiful years of marriage and two wonderful boys who I know will be very significant in life,” he wrote, “I loved her with all my heart, but who am I to fight with the will of God.”
Odukoya married the South African in January 2010 after his first wife Pastor Bimbo Odukoya died on December 11, 2005 after a plane crash.
In one interview Nomthi had with Punch on how they met, she said: “He came to minister at Triumphant Church International, London where I worshipped. I didn’t take it seriously because like every other minister that had come before him, I saw him as a man of God. I found his message amazing and absorbing.”
Odukoya had said that it was okay for pastors to have private jets, adding that his first wife would probably still be alive if she had one.
