Former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode has responded to a claim made by his estranged wife Precious Chikwendu that one of their sons contracted COVID-19 under his watch.
Chikwendu and Fani-Kayode have been engaged in a battle for the custody of their four sons since their union crashed more than a year ago.
The ex-minister claimed in a statement by his lawyer Ayodeji Ibikunle that the former beauty queen has bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
“We are constrained to point out the fact that Miss Precious Chikwendu, the former partner of our client Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, Sadaukin Shinkafi, is suffering from bipolar disorder and schizophrenia,” the statement read.
Fani-Kayode also claimed Chikwendu was “totally insane” and “clinically unstable” which is why she is prone to “telling monstrous lies and making delusional statements.”
“A glaring example of her degenerating mental state is the specious lie and diabolical fabrication from the pit of hell that any of Chief Femi Fani-Kayode’s sons is suffering from COVID 19 or that any of them has head injuries.
“Meanwhile we will meet her in court where she will be exposed for who and what she is and what she suffers,” the statement added.
