Emir of Jama’are in Bauchi State Muhammadu Wabi III has died at the age of 92 at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital after a protracted illiness.
The monarch died at about 12:15 am on Sunday, chairman, Jama’are Local Government Council Sama’ila Yusuf-Jarma told NAN.
Wabi was installed emir in 1970 after the death of his father Muhammadu Wabi II.
He survived by four wives, 35 children and many grand children.
The remains of the emir would be buried at 2 pm Sunday in Jama’are town.
