Rescue workers on Sunday pulled out the body of a student on industrial training from the collapsed three-storey building in Yaba area of Lagos, thus raising the death toll to five.
South-west zonal coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Ibrahim Farinloye confirmed the development to reporters.
Relatives of the late student, simply identified as Damola, had told emergency rescue team that he reported to work the day the building collapsed and had been missing since then.
Farinloye said that the mother of Damola fainted when one of his relatives identified the body to be his.
The building collapsed on Saturday afternoon at No. 16, Akanbi Crescent, off Adesina Street, Harvey, Yaba.
It took the combined team of officials of NEMA, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Nigeria Police Force and the Fire Service about 24 hours to get to the bottom of the rubble.
