Manchester United teenage sensation, Marcus Rashford, has been named the club’s Player of the Month for February.
The 18-year-old, who only played 170 minutes last month, scored four goals as he made an instant impression at Old Trafford.
Rashford was fast-tracked into the first-team squad after injuries to Wayne Rooney and then Anthony Martial left Louis van Gaal short of options.
His strikes against Midtjylland in the Europa League make him United’s youngest ever scorer in European competition beating a record previously held by George Best.
While his double at the Emirates against Arsenal made him the third youngest scorer for United in Barclays Premier League history after Federico Macheda and Danny Welbeck.
Meanwhile, United coach, Van Gaal does not think Rashford is too young to be selected for England at Euro 2016.
“I think Mr Hodgson (England coach) has answered the question and you are asking again. However, it is never too early,” the Dutchman said in a press conference on Friday.
“As I have said before: age is not important. Maybe you remember me saying this? Age is not important, it is quality.”
Rashford is set to start his fourth successive game for the Red Devils at West Brom on Sunday.
