Actress Toyin Abraham has come under fire for receiving an award from Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in celebration of the 2022 International Women’s Day.
The actress on Wednesday posted the award in an Instagram post where she thanked the governor for the recognition.
“Thank you sir for your excellency @jidesanwoolu and @lagosstategovt thanks for the recognition. Eshey Modupe Eko o ni baje,” she wrote.
This post gathered criticism as many fans stormed her comment section, claiming she has been bought and will avoid speaking against the current administration of Sanwo-Olu.
