Minister of education Adamu Adamu has come under criticism on social media following his trip to London, United Kingdom despite public universities in Nigeria being shut.
Adamu posed for photos with his Yobe State counterpart Mai Buni when they visited President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday.
The trio is in London for medicals.
Adamu’s critics say his trip out of the country was ill-timed as the strike embarked on by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has grounded university education in the country.
The lecturers say the Federal Government has failed to meet agreements reached with the union in 2009.
