Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Lasun Yusuf on Friday announced his departure from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
His announcement comes on the eve of the much-awaited national convention of the ruling party.
Yusuf submitted his resignation from APC at the party’s state secretariat in Osogbo, Osun State capital on Friday.
“I have left APC,” he told PUNCH, refusing to speak further on the matter.
Yusuf contested the APC governorship ticket of Osun State during the February 19 primaries, alongside the incumbent governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola; and Moshood Adeoti, the aspirant backed by the minister of interior, Rauf Aregbesola.
