Movie stars Mercy Aigbe and Yomi Fabiyi and others have broken down in tears following their colleague Kemi Afolabi’s illness.
Kemi, in an interview with Chude Jideonwo, said her doctor told her she has only five years to live after revealing she has lupus.
In an Instagram post on Saturday, Mercy posted a video of her and her colleagues begging for financial support for the actress.
Mercy, who described Kemi as a beautiful soul said the actress has been going through a lot and needs support.
Crying over her colleague’s situation, the 44-year-old said: “Kemi is a friend, a very good friend at that. She a colleague, she’s a beautiful soul. She has been going through this for years, for like two years now.”
Yemi also broke down saying, “Her daughter 11-year-old, she needs to get her through school, graduation, get married. No mother should go through this.”
Another actress Sola Kosoko said: “Help us, join us to save our colleague.”
Mercy Aigbe had on March 23, begged fans to help Kemi raise money for treatment.
