Veteran entertainers like Joke Silva, Bolaji Amusa, better known as Mr Latin, Tunde Kelani and Tade Ogidan showed up to support their colleague Kunle Afolayan on the graduation of the first ever trainees from (KAP) Film and Television Academy.
The recent convocation ceremony which took place at the KAP Hub in Ikeja, Lagos played host to several other personalities including filmmmaker Mahmood Ali-Balogun, Seun Soyinka, Mike Dada, Dr. Isaac Yekini, Yinka Oyedeji, Steve Ayorinde, and Afeez Ayetoro.
The event which was anchored by comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka began with a guided tour of the academy led by Afolayan, the Founder/CEO after which everyone proceeded to KAP Cinema for the ceremony.
Describing the outstanding qualities of Kunle, Mr. Mahmood Alli Balogun commended him for his determination, commitment and courage in building KAP Academy considering the time, energy and resources used. He encouraged the graduating students to keep learning, strive hard and never stop in achieving their goals.
In his welcome address, Kunle informed guests that KAP Academy is in the process of offering scholarships to 120 students and also gifting them one tablet each alongside training them to become better entrepreneurs and film makers. He also stated that KAP Film & TV Academy will build a mobile application that will enable the academy become accessible to interested persons from far and wide.
The first edition of the KAP-USC programme was facilitated by Dough Blush, Stephen Flick and Richard Burton.
