Music artiste, Orduen Ikon, popularly known as OD Woods, has dismissed the false death report about his brother and fast-rising singer Terungwa Ikon better known as OrTrees.
On Monday, June 6, rumours that OrTrees was found dead near a river in Benue State, weeks after he went missing circulated on the internet.
Several blogs also reported that the singer was confirmed dead by a Facebook user identified as Orga Richard Chin who claimed his body was dumped near a river on Sunday, June 5.
Mr Orga also claimed that the deceased was abducted by unknown persons and tortured to death.
Clearing the air in a Facebook post on Monday, OD Woods stated that his brother’s body has not been found, adding that the police has new information about the case.
He wrote: “My brother has not been found, his body has not been found either. The police got new information regarding the case and I’m waiting on them for a complete report.”
The Benue-born singer first raised an alarm over his brother’s disappearance on April 19, 2022.
He wrote: “PLEASE HELP US FIND MY BROTHER. Name: Terungwa Albert Ikon aka Or Trees.
