Big Brother Naija reality stars Jackie Bent and Michael Ebuka have shut down speculation that they are in a relationship.
The duo addressed the rumour on Twitter on Thursday after an argument at the reunion the previous day about the state of their relationship.
Clearing the air, Jackie Bent, better known as Jackie B, stated that she was never in a relationship with Michael and it was her decision to remain friends with him.
The mother of one wrote: “Michael and I never dated and aren’t after a relationship. It was my decision that we remained friends. We’ve never felt the need to explain ourselves to anyone. There’s nothing to be embarrassed by. Its still not that deep.”
Standing by Jackie B’s statement, Michael added: “Let’s be rational please. ‘I think’…. is a common expression of thought.
“It was in no way an insinuation of uncertainty. Attraction is a mutual occurrence and thus isn’t restricted to the confines of romance. We understand each other as good friends who have grown together.”
In one of her media rounds after her eviction from the show, Jackie B also cleared the air on her relationship with Boma.
”Well, I was never in any entanglement with Boma. I just know that he told a few housemates that he liked me and they came to tell me.
”With him, I just know he had an attraction for me and he liked me in a type of way. Also, when he picked me to be his deputy head of house I was surprised. In fact, I didn’t think there was any reason for it not until he made his feelings known to me while we were together in the head of the house lounge.
”However, I told him I wasn’t interested in him so we just had to keep things that way,” she said.
