Pop star Tiwa Savage has playfully told her junior colleague Ayra Starr to abstain from alcohol on her 20th birthday celebration.
The mother of one celebrated Ayra Starr in an Instagram post on Tuesday, promising to take her out for drinks and noting that Ayra will be served a Pepsi and not alcohol.
Tiwa Savage wrote: “Drinks on me today, Pepsi oooo. If I catch you drink any alcohol. Birthday blessings superstar. Love you.”
Responding to the birthday message Ayra Starr agreed that she would not be taking any alcoholic drink, only Pepsi.
“Only Pepsi allowed,” she wrote along with laughing emojis.
Music producer Don Jazzy, singer Tems and American pop star Kelly Rowland also celebrated Ayra on her birthday.
Signed to Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records, Ayra caught the attention of the Nigerian audience with the release of her debut hit, ‘Away’, early last year.
In August, she released her debut album, 19 and Dangerous, which earned her the number 2 spot on Billboard’s Next Big Sound chart in the same month.
