Broadcaster Funmi Iyanda has commenced the second season of her TV programme, Public Eye.
The programme made its debut on November 1, 2020 on TVC.
Iyanda kicked off the second season with the story of Bamise Ayanwole, a young lady who was murdered after boarding a BRT bus in Lagos.
The police have since arraigned the BRT driver, Andrew Ominnikoron, over Bamise’s death.
On the show, the Ayanwoles said all they wanted was justice.
“I want the Lagos State government to bring to justice the godfather behind the killing of my daughter. I know that the driver is not the only one in this case because my daughter said that there were two males and one female in the bus,” Bamise’s father Joseph Ayanwole said.
The host also spoke with security expert Dickson Osajie and Lagos police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin.
Iyanda held a watch party in Victoria Island on Thursday, June 23 to launch the second season. Top entertainers such as Ireti Doyle and Denrele Edun and blogger Linda Ikeji were present.
Supported by the MacArthur Foundation, the programme airs on TVC every Thursday by 9pm.
