Big Brother Naija reality star Cross Okonkwo has recollected how PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar treated him when he had nowhere to go.
Cross opened up during an interview with Blessing Enetiate published on Sunday.
According to the 30-year-old, Atiku treated him like a son when he had nowhere to go. He also lived with the former Vice President’s children and shared the same bed with them.
Her said: “I have known him (Atiku) for many years. Me and his children have lived together and shared the same bed. When I did not have anywhere to go, he took me in. He has also taken care of me to an extent.
“That is the true definition of family. I know him very well and I believe he means well for the youth. I also think he is the best presidential candidate.I was attacked after I made that tweet (about Atiku being my father), and I wondered why.”
Cross in an Instagram live session on October 13, 2021, revealed how his family was kidnapped in Nigeria following his father’s death.
“After my dad’s death we were kidnapped and they tried to kill my mother so she thought the best situation for us to be safe was to flee and seek asylum in a different country.
“That exposed me to the ups and downs of life and shaped me to be who I am today but I’ve recovered from the kidnap trauma,” Cross said.
