Singer Yemi Alade has commended Afrobeat stars for making waves globally and creating impacts, adding that Nigeria is also in the “worst condition she has ever been”.
The 33-year-old stated this in an Instagram post on Thursday, July 7 while lamenting the state of affairs in the country.
Yemi Alade wrote: “Afrobeats is breaking barriers and making waves globally as our Nigerian ambassadors continue to bless us with melodies but my heart is with Nigeria! SHE IS IN THE WORST CONDITION SHE HAS EVER BEEN.”
In April 2022, Yemi Alade became a Grammy Award winner courtesy of her collaboration with Beninese-American music icon Angelique Kidjo on the Mother Nature album.
The music stars won the Best Global Music Album category beating Afro-beat stars Femi Kuti and Wizkid.
