Big Brother Naija reality star Ka3na Jones has claimed the Nigerian movie industry is silent on actress Funke Akindele’s interest in becoming the next deputy governor of Lagos State.
Ka3na made the statement in a Twitter post on Wednesday.
According to the reality star, Nollywood has been quiet since Funke Akindele announced her interest in politics.
She wrote: “Wtf Funke Akindele is currently running for Lagos State Deputy Governorship and Nollywood is this quiet?? What Am I even saying! Nigerian youths isn’t this what the whole protest was about? For the youths to break into the circle of leadership? Na Wa Oo.”
Funke Akindele in an Instagram post on July 12 announced she has been chosen as the running mate of Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State.
The 44-year-old said she was chosen to help liberate and improve the welfare of the people which cannot be ignored.
She also promised to work tirelessly and compliment Jandor’s burning desire to see Lagos State live up to its full potential.
