Minister of state for labour and employment Festus Keyamo has thanked actor Zack Orji for declaring his support for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress Bola Tinubu.
Zack had called on the public to trust Tinubu to transform Nigeria’s economy by electing him president in 2023.
According to the filmmaker, Tinubu is a de-tribalised individual who ran an all-inclusive government in his time as governor of Lagos.
Keyamo said in a tweet on Sunday that Zack’s endorsement was much needed to teach the younger generation about the way Tinubu transformed Lagos.
“Thank you, Zack Orji, for this insightful and well thought out support. For those who are old enough to have lived in Lagos before 1999, let us continue to educate the much younger ones about the revolution that Lagos is today, the foundation of which was laid by Tinubu,” he said.
Zack was among actors under the umbrella of Ambassadors of Voice of Change who visited Tinubu on July 21.
Other entertainers present were Saidi Balogun, Brymo, Gentle Jack, Emma Ehumadu and Benedict Johnson.
The visit came weeks after top Yoruba movie stars including Jide Kosoko, Adebayo Salami, also known as Oga Bello, Taiwo Hassan, better known as Ogogo, Faithia Williams, Yinka Quadri, Lanre Hassan, popularly known as Iya Awero, Eniola Ajao, Olaiya Igwe, Foluke Daramola, Femi Adebayo, Shola Kosoko and Murphy Afolabi publicly declared their support for Tinubu.
