Kizz Daniel’s hit song Buga has hit 40 million views on YouTube weeks after a video of Tobi Amusan dancing to the hit track to celebrate her World Championship victory went viral.
The singer celebrated his latest achievement in a Twitter post on Friday August 5, thanking his fans for their support.
Captioning the post, he wrote: “Thank you for 40million views in a month #BUGA.”
Kizz Daniel on July 25 joined thousands of Nigerians to congratulate Tobi Amusan for breaking record at World Athletics Championship.
Tobi was captured celebrating her victory with the signature Buga pose.
An impressed Kizz Daniel took to Instagram to congratulate the athlete, stating it was the perfect moment in history to ‘Buga’.
Reacting to the video of Amusan dancing to his song, the singer wrote: “The perfect moment in history to #BUGA. Proudly Nigerian. Congratulations.”
Meanwhile, Tobi Amusan has qualified for the final of the women’s 100m hurdles at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The 25-year-old clocked 12.40s (+2.4) to qualify for the final on Sunday.
Amusan returned to the track on Friday for the first time since making history at the World Athletics Championships where she clocked 12:12 seconds in the semifinals.
The Ijebu-Ode born athlete caught the attention of the world at the World Championships held in Oregon, United States where she also won gold in the 100 metres hurdles. Her 12:06 seconds timing in the final was not recognised as a world record due to an illegal tailwind.
