Lagos State Government says it will unveil the Lagos State Development Plan (LSDP) 2022-2052 at the ninth Ehingbeti Summit scheduled for October 11 and 12, 2022.
Commissioner for economic planning and budget, Sam Egube, stated this during the pre-summit stakeholders engagement on Thursday at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.
Ehingbeti is an acronym for the Lagos Economic Summit which dates back to 2000, he said.
According to Egube, it was borne out of the strong desire by the state government to accelerate economic growth and development of Lagos.
He said the summit has been an avenue for the private sector to evaluate the implementation of key initiatives that were agreed as resolutions at the previous summits.
Egube noted that the 2022 summit will seek to engage with high-powered speakers and thought leaders on the strategic dimensions and focus areas of the LSDP 2052 and provide opportunities for engagement with the audience to formally launch the LSDP 2052.
Egube, who is also the co-chairman of the summit, said this year’s event will encapsulate Lagos’ vision to become Africa’s model mega city, a global, economic and financial hub that is safe, secure, functional and productive.
