Yoruba actor Olatayo Amokade popularly known as Ijebu has announced the death of his mum who died at age 83.
The comic actor made the announcement in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
Sharing a photo of the deceased, he wrote: “R .I. P WURA MI YEFUNBI MI.”
Iejbu also posted a video of the woman praying for her loved one during her 83rd birthday celebration.
Fellow celebrities like Iyabo Ojo, Mo Bimpe, Mercy Aigbe, Kiitan Bukola, Yinka Quadri, Adeyinka Alaseyori, Jide Kosoko and Kemi Korede consoled him in the comment section of the post.
Olatayo was born in Ilisan Remo, Ogun state and obtained a National Diploma in Mass Communication at Ibadan polytechnic. He is known for his comic roles in most Yoruba movies having been introduced into acting through Muyiwa Ademola Authentic school of drama.
He also worked as a personal assistant for another comic actor, Olaniyi Afonja aka Sanyeri before he came to the limelight with his self-produced movie film Muniru and Ambali, written by Sanyeri and marketed by Adekaz productions.
