Filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has released the trailer for his new movie Anikulapo, a Netflix original.
The trailer for the film was shared on social media on Monday.
Anikulapo will be coming to Netflix on September 30.
The movie features Kunle’s aunt Toyin Afolayan, Sola Sobowale, Adebayo Salami, Faithia Williams, Bimbo Ademoye, Kunle Remi Ronke Oshodi-Oke, Sunday Omobolanle, Taiwo Hassan, Dele Odule, Adewale Adeoye, Aisha Lawal, content creators Ikorodu Boiz, Macaroni and Hollywood star Hakeem Kae-Kazim.
Mr Macaroni who plays the role of Akanji shared pictures from the movie set on Instagram on Tuesday, February 22. He said the forthcoming film will be ‘fantabulous’ and he cannot wait to see the magic Kunle Afolayan has made.
Speaking on the forthcoming Netflix project, Kunle noted that “Anikulapo; Death and Life, The Rebirth of Identity has become the talk of the town not just because of its peculiarity in origin but because of the greatness which birthed the KAP Film Village, Studio and Resort.”
According to the filmmaker, the film village located at Igbo Jaye in Oyo State sits on a mass of land totaling 40 acres where Anikulapo was shot with all the infrastructures being built from scratch. “There are over 300 men working on-site to bring it to life,” he said.
