Moses Armstrong denies rape allegation

Actor Moses Armstrong has denied an allegation of raping a 16-year-old girl.

Qed.ng reported that the actor was charged with rape, conspiracy, intimidation, and supplying of drugs to procure an abortion on a minor.

The Judge, Ntong Ntong, after hearing submissions from both counsels upheld the defense counsel’s application and granted bail to Moses in the sum of N5 million.

In a statement shared on Facebook on Tuesday, the Akwa Ibom actor said he did not and has never raped anyone. He also thanked those who believed he was innocent.

He wrote: “Nothing Pass God. If you believe, you will receive. Nothing Pass God. I did not rape anybody. I don’t rape. I have never raped. And I will never rape. I’m back stronger and better…

“I’m happy I went to prison, God went with me. The experience is awesome. You will hear it soon. Blessings to all of you Angels that believed in me. Love you all deeply.”

Moses Armstrong also posted photos from a welcome home party thrown to celebrate his return home.

“Coming back to meet a rousing welcome party, organized on behalf of my humble self… by my beautiful kids, my guardian Angel Akeem Oguntoye, that same Comedian SirJames Essien a very good brother, best Son Nifty Bass and my wonderful Son Ezekiel Ezekiel, my very good friend and brother Henry Huk and a host of other friends, colleagues, Sons and daughters of mine. Qed.ng reported that the police arrested Moses in June for allegedly having sex with a minor. He allegedly committed the act with a 16-year-old girl about three years ago.

The alleged victim, who was said to have been schooling abroad, returned to the country recently and petitioned Martha Udom Emmanuel, the wife of the state governor with respect to the rape allegation.
