Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu on Wednesday paid a visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The meeting occurred at Obasanjo’s private residence within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library.
Tinubu was received in Ogun State by Governor Dapo Abiodun and other APC members.
The former Lagos governor was accompanied to Ogun by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; APC national leader, Bisi Akande; pioneer chairman of the EFCC, Nuhu Ribadu; among others.
Obasanjo and Tinubu had bad blood between them when they were in office because the former withheld local government allocation for Lagos when the latter was the state governor.
Those who had earlier arrived at Obasanjo’s residence on Wednesday included Abiodun; former Ogun State governor, Gbenga Daniel; former governor and national leader of the party, Olusegun Osoba; former Ogun central senator, Gbenga Obadare; Olubara of Ibara, Jacob Omolade; and other APC leaders in the state.
Tinubu is also scheduled to meet party members at the Moshood Abiola Stadium.
