Veteran musician Charly Boy has said he would have given one of his daughters to Afrobeat singer Made Kuti if they were not married.
The 72-year-old who met Made for the first time during labor Party presidential candidate Peter Obi’s visit to Made’s father Femi Kuti, said this in a recent post on Instagram where he posted a photo of himself and Made.
Charly Boy described Made as a “well put together child of his father.”
He wrote: “My first time, meeting and interacting with dis young man. Femi’s son, Made. If my daughters never marry I would have sent one of dem to capture him. Made is a well-put-together child of his father. Am so impressed.”
Reacting in the comment section of the post, Made wrote: “Thank you, Uncle Charly!”
Femi Kuti also thanked his colleague for complimenting his son.
“Thank you, Charlie,” he wrote.
Femi Kuti’s ex-wife Funke also reacted by liking the post.
Made is in a relationship with Inedoye Adanne Onyenso, a 24-year-old actress and model.
In an interview with Punch in 2020, the 27-year-old Grammy nominee stated that, unlike his grandfather, the late Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti, he does not have any intention of being with more than one woman.
“I am a one-woman man. I prefer a very good and stable relationship to any kind of lavish, numerous partnership. I am a one-woman man.”
When asked what traits endeared him to his girlfriend, he said: “The thing I consider to be of the greatest value is honesty. If two people are honest, they would discover how compatible they are. I have known her for about 12 years and that adds to the value of the relationship.”
