Actresses Toyin Abraham and Lizzy Anjorin have finally ended their three-year beef.
Toyin Abraham revealed that the movie stars have reconciled in a statement shared on Instagram on Saturday.
According to Toyin, the matter which involved the police was settled after Lizzy Anjorin apologised to her.
The mother of one stated that it was important for her to make clarifications and share information with the public, especially after the conclusion of the police investigation.
She wrote: “It is important that I make this clarifications and share this information with the public especially after the conclusion of police investigation.
“Lizzy Anjorin and I, we no longer have issues. Yes, I had to get the police involved. The investigations revealed that I did not wrong her. She ran with a comment of a fan which did not come from me. At the Police station, we tabled our grievances and she apologised and we have since moved on.
“This clarification is important for some reasons and the Police have concluded their investigations and I need to let the public know.
“And please, I am begging anything that has to do with me and Lizzy is now in the past. I beg you. And I also want to beg everyone, every child is my child no mater how the case may be please kindly take children out of it. I am on my knees. I am begging, Thank you and love you all. Thank you.”
Toyin and Lizzy clashed in 2019 when a blog reported that the latter was held and searched for drug peddling during her hajj trip to Saudi Arabia.
Lizzy Anjorin subsequently accused Toyin Abraham of leaking the story to blogs.
Things got worse when Toyin gave birth to her son in September 2019, with Lizzy claiming the actress was delivered of the child by an alternative medical practitioner.
The two sheathed their swords after the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) threatened to suspend them.
Old wounds were, however, reopened in 2021 when Lizzy had an interview with social media influencer Esabod, in which she rained curses on Toyin, her husband Kolawole Ajeyemi, and their son Ire.
Reacting in an Instagram live session with fellow actress Iyabo Ojo, Toyin asked Lizzy to stop cursing her son, vowing to do all she can to protect the boy.
