Disc jockey Florence Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, has reacted to the backlash from Twitter users over her support for Anthony Joshua.
Before the match began, Cuppy took to Twitter to cheer Joshua and wish him success.
Anthony Joshua was, however, left in hurt following his back-to-back loss on Saturday night to Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia.
After his defeat, some Twitter users took to the platform to troll Cuppy, saying her message to Joshua cost him the match.
A Twitter user identified as Master Packer: “Man U were doing fine, you became a fan and they have been wack since then Arsenal were losing anyhow, you left the club and they started winning again AJ was winning anyhow, you became his friend and he has been losing since then I didn’t say anything though but hmmmm.”
“Be like say this babe na bad luck because AJ always wins but as she enter the picture the guy nor they win again. Hope AJ never enter the place or should I say enter her place, my dear undo waitin you do because the AJ when I no before is not this AJ,” another tweep @Oluwabrown added.
“You fell in love with Manchester United calamity fell on them. They are 20th on the log. Now, its Joshua time he fell Yakata like Samson,” another tweep wrote.
Reacting to the backlash on Sunday, DJ Cuppy congratulated Joshua despite the loss and blasted her critics.
She wrote: “So PROUD of Femi! WITH or WITHOUT belts, ALWAYS my CHAMP @AnthonyJoshua. Oh and before I forget, FUCK the HATERS!”
