Singer Kizz Daniel has shared a video of a baby dancing to his hit song ‘Buga’.
The 28-year-old posted the video on Instagram on Tuesday while announcing his Australia tour set to hold on October 27.
In the video he posted, the baby and other family members could be seen dancing to the song and doing the signature Buga pose.
An excited voice from the background could also be heard laughing and cheering on the baby.
In an Instagram post on May 25, the singer announced Chionye Elvira, a one-year-old Tik Toker, as the winner of the Buga Dance Challenge.
Kizz Daniel teamed up with fellow artiste, Tekno, for the release of the new track which became an instant hit because of the unique and easy dance moves that followed the song.
The dance later gave birth to a challenge called #Bugachallenge which was thrown open to everyone, and the participant with the highest engagement was to be crowned the winner with one million naira as the grand prize.
Following the entries submitted for the challenge, Kizz Daniels finally announced the one-year-old as the winner in an Instagram post on Wednesday.
Since its release in May 2022, ‘Buga’ has caught the attention of both young and older demographics and it has also enjoyed domestic and international acceptance.
Several celebrities like Ngozi Nwosu, Ebele Okaro, RMD, Dayo Amusa, Foluke Daramola, Jide Kosoko, government officials and clerics have joined the Buga challenge.
The track also became a victory song for record holders like Tobi Amusan and Ese Brume after their victories at the World Athletic Championships and the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
In a recent interview with media personalities Angela Yee and DJ Envy on The Breakfast Club show, the singer said “Buga means to flaunt your success unapologetically. Just letting people know that you’ve worked so hard and you deserve to celebrate your success.”
On July 22, Kizz Daniel reacted to the listing of ‘Buga’ as the most googled song in Nigeria in the first quarter of 2022.
The singer shared the report on his Instagram story on Friday, saying he wants ‘Buga’ to trend as the most googled song in the world and not in Nigeria.
