Actress Omoni Oboli has defended her colleague Alexx Ekubo against critics who questioned his source of wealth after showing off his new house.
Alexx announced he has acquired a new house in an Instagram post on August 1.
While some congratulated the actor, others claimed he bought the house with money made from illegal dealings.
Defending him in an Instagram post on Tuesday, Omoni Oboli who visited the actor at the new house, recounted how Alexx struggled to achieve success.
The 44-year-old said Alexx was at his lowest point when the duo shot Omoni’s movie The First Lady but God saw his pains and blessed him.
She wrote: “My brother @alexxekubo the truth is, people talk down on what they don’t know! It is what it is. You’ve come a long way! Even though God has only just began with you! I remember! I remember when we shot The First Lady. You were at the lowest point of your life (I didn’t even know cos you didn’t share at the time.
“One day that story will be told because it will inspire millions of people) but you have that role everything you had! God saw your pain and did what only He could do. Opened doors that no man can shut. My brother, my friend just know that God sees and He alone rewards. The best is yet to come! Fan always remember to rejoice with those with those who rejoice! God is in the neighborhood.”
Reacting in the comment section of the post, The Omo Ghetto actor thanked Omoni for being a pillar of support to him.
In August last year, Alexx Ekubo bagged a doctorate in arts and culture from the Institut Supérieur de Communication et de Geston (ISCG University) in Benin Republic.
