Presidential candidate of the Labour Party Peter Obi on Tuesday visited the residence of the British High Commissioner Catriona Laing in Abuja to commiserate with her over the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
The monarch died on September 8 at Balmoral, Scotland after over 70 years on the throne. She will be buried on September 19.
Obi posted photos of his visit to Twitter.
He said, “Arriving at the British High Commissioner’s Residence to sign the condolence register in tribute to late Queen Elizabeth II.”
A delegation from the Presidency had earlier paid a visit to the British high commissioner.
After the visit, Obi went for an “interactive meeting” with European Union ambassadors and heads of missions.
He was accompanied by his campaign director-general, Doyin Okupe.
