Ex-Nigeria international Mikel Obi on Wednesday celebrated his twin daughters — Mia and Ava — on their seventh birthday.
The twins were born on September 14, 2015 to Mikel and his Russian partner, Olga Diyachenko.
Mikel made a rainbow with balloons to celebrate his daughters.
“Happy birthday to my world. I love you two so much, I am so so incredibly blessed and proud. You guys are most sweet and kind daughters ever. Love love love you guys sooooo much,” the proud father wrote on Instagram.
Olga and Mikel have been dating since 2012 during his days at Chelsea.
In June, Mikel, 35, launched a platform he called Back2Base to give opportunity for young and talented Nigerian athletes to showcase their craft.
The former Super Eagles captain, who started as an academy player in Jos and rose to the highest level, said he is keen to create a pathway for others to succeed through sports the same way he did.
