Presidential candidate of the Labour Party Peter Obi has visited former President Goodluck Jonathan ahead of next year’s presidential election.
In a tweet on Thursday, Mr Obi said he visited Mr Jonathan recently and they both exchanged views on issues of national importance during the meeting.
“I recently visited my senior brother, H.E. @GEJonathan to exchange views on an array of serious national interest questions,” Obi wrote.
The former Anambra State governor has met several high-profile personalities to seek their support in his quest to be Nigeria’s next president.
Last month, Obi and Jonathan were among guests at the 70th birthday celebration of Bishop Matthew Kukah of Sokoto Catholic Diocese.
Obi’s rival for the Presidency, Bola Tinubu, was also at the Abuja event with his running mate, Kashim Shettima and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal chaired the occasion.
