The chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) Abike Dabiri-Erewa has met the oldest Nigerian in Canada, Obafemi Adeite.
The 103-year-old still stands erect as seen in photos and a video taken with Mrs Dabiri-Erewa.
The NIDCOM boss, on Thursday, posted photos of her meeting with Adeite on social media.
According to her, Adeite was full of prayers for the Nigerian community in Canada for their care and support.
“My visit to the oldest Nigerian in Canada, 103 year old Chief Obafemi Adeite. He was full of prayers for the care and support from the Nig Community, particularly Dr Ola Kassim, @KingWaleAde, Funmi and many others,” she said.
Adeite showed Dabiri-Erewa the congratulatory message which the late Queen Elizabeth sent him when he clocked 100.
The NIDCOM chairman marvelled at his strength as such age.
“Agile and active as he displayed the congratulatory letter from Queen Elizabeth when he turned 100,” she said.
Queen Elizabeth, who honoured Adeite, died on September 8 at Balmoral, Scotland at the age of 96.
