Actresses Joke Silva and Foluke Daramola have joined Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, wife of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and others in the women’s rally for All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu.
Joke, who was recently named in APC women presidential campaign council shared highlights from the rally on Instagram on Monday.
Videos of the women, comprising artisans, traders and market women and professionals, marching on the streets with banners, have been trending online.
The women, in their hundreds, gathered at Tinubu’s Square on Lagos Island and other locations in the state for the solidarity walk.
Captioning the video she posted, Joke who noted that governor’s wife and women’s advocate Kemi Ogunyemi including herself are former students of Houston Community College wrote: “The HCC old girls Dr(Mrs) Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, Kemi and myself. We co-opted Mrs Hazamat. Lagos womens march for APC. And this is the only women oh.”

On her part, Foluke Daramola posted a photo collage of Tinubu and herself and other women at the rally.
“Akanbi omo olodo lde wo eyin e wo bo lo omo Ogun bo lo omo ogun weyin re wo,” she wrote in Yoruba.
