Zenith Bank chairman Jim Ovia last Saturday gave out his daughter Bolatito’s hand in marriage to Ugochukwu Chukwu in Morocco.
The private and lavish ceremony had Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, in attendance, alongside other business people and socialites.
The groom is the son of a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Tony Chukwu.
In June, Ovia hosted dignitaries at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos as the couple held their traditional wedding.
Present at the traditional ceremony were Dangote, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, businesswoman and fashion enthusiast Bola Shagaya, governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele; UBA chairman Tony Elumelu, among others.
The wedding comes nine years after Ovia’s other daughter Isioma wedded Ola Olowu in London. Dangote was also present at the wedding.
Bolatito runs Helim Health, a health care outfit.
She is also the founder of Feminist Coalition, a civil society organisation that was at the forefront of the #EndSARS movement.
