Spokesperson of the Tinubu-Shettima presidential campaign council Festus Keyamo has mocked the party’s crisis over the arrival of Tinubu to Nigeria.
Tinubu arrived to fanfare on Thursday evening at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
While he was away, the party was inundated with talks by the opposition that Tinubu had secretly gone for treatment in London.
Despite releasing a video of himself on an exercise bike and debunking rumour he had died, Tinubu’s critics said the video was old.
However, reacting to Tinubu’s arrival, Keyamo tweeted that the former Lagos State governor played mind games with his critics.
Keyamo tweeted, “He teased them; he played mind game with them; their thoughts went wild but @officialABAT is the master of the game. Just when they thought they had something on which to feast, he’s rather the one now feasting on their naivety. Welcome back, the City Boy.”
Tinubu was received at the airport by his running mate, Kashim Shettima; Plateau State Governor and director-general of the APC presidential campaign council (PCC) Simon Lalong; his deputy, Adams Oshiomhole; one-time Lagos State finance commissioner, Wale Edun; and other party chieftains.
