Actress Bukunmi Oluwasina has described Saro, a character played by Kunle Remi in Kunle Afolayan’s Netflix hit Anikulapo.
Kunle Afolayan posted scenes from the movie on Instagram on Sunday, asking his followers to describe Saro in one word.
Reacting in the comment section of the comment, Bukunmi Oluwasina wrote: “Ojegudujera.”
Actress Bimbo Ademoye who played the role of Arolake also described Saro in Yoruba language saying, “Odale.”
Set in the 17th century Oyo Kingdom, Anikulapo centers on the story of Saro, a young cloth weaver, who is brought back to life by a mystical bird after he was beaten to death for a romantic relationship with Arolake, the Alaafin’s youngest wife.
The lovers eloped to another kingdom to begin a new life.
Anikulapo also addresses issues surrounding polygamy as well as exploring different perspectives of the African culture.
The star studded cast also include, Sola Sobowale, Taiwo Hassan, Adebayo Salami, Dele Odule, Yinka Quadri, Faithia Williams, Ronke Oshodi-Oke, Mr Macaroni, Sunday Omobolanle, Toyin Afolayan, Kareem Adepoju and Hakeem Kae-Kazim.
