Music producer Don Jazzy has visited his childhood home where his late mother popularly known as Indian Picolo sold akara.
In a video shared on Instagram on Monday, the 39-year-old is seen in the company of his record label signee Korede Bello and others driving through the old neighbourhood with smiles on their faces.
In the video, Don Jazzy could be held telling Korede that his mum used to sell akara at a particular spot in front of a renovated kiosk.
“This is the one, this is where my mum used to sell akara. But dem don upgrade, dem get kiosk now. This is where they gave birth to Omoba, this particular house,” Don Jazzy said in parts.
Born in Umuahia, Don Jazzy and his family moved to Ajegunle, Lagos State where he was raised with his siblings.
The Mavin Records boss announced the death of his mum in an Instagram post on July 22. She was buried was buried on Friday October 7.
The burial reception held in Lagos at the Monarch Event Centre was attended by celebrities and friends of Don Jazzy including Tiwa Savage, Banky W, Paul Okoye, Erica Nlewedim, Real Warri Pikin and Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
Born Michael Ajereh, Don Jazzy is from Isoko in Delta State.
His dad, popularly referred to as Mavin Grandpa, is a businessman, music promoter and manager.
His mum was also known as Mavin Grandma.
Don Jazzy’s mum hailed from Umuahia in Abia State.
