Big Brother Naija reality star Ifu Ennada could not hold back her tears on Thursday over the shocking demise of her colleague Rico Swavey who died after a ghastly car accident.
Rico’s death was announced by fellow reality star Alex Unusual in a Twitter post on Thursday.
In a tribute to the deceased on Instagram, Ifu Ennada said she had been in tears since she confirmed Rico’s death.
She described Rico as a great guy whose heart was pure , adding that he was the best of them.
She wrote: “Guys I just confirmed that Rico is gone. I am crying and my hands are shaking as I type this. I don’t know why God did this. I mean we prayed and begged him. Some of us even donated. I don’t know why God does the things he does. None of it makes sense to me but Rico, a great guy is no longer with us. Rico was the best of us. His heart was so pure. I don’t know why God did this, it doesn’t make sense.”
“My heart is broken, I’ve lost loved ones this year. People who deserved to live, makes me wonder how God determines who should die and who should live. Makes me wonder how much time I have left in earth. Nothing makes sense to me. May God have mercy on us all.”
Born Patrick Fakoya, Rico Swavey whose mum is Italian, contested in the third edition of the reality show in 2018.
The Babcock University graduate was also a lawyer, singer and actor.
