Immediate past president of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Olumide Akpata on Friday held his white wedding to Osayamon Ogbebor in Mauritius.
Family and friends joined the couple at a Catholic church in the East African country to seal their union.
Among the guests at the occasion were former beauty queen Ezinne Anyaoha, publisher of The Will magazine Austin Ogannah, lawyers and many others.
Akpata’s boyhood friends from Kings College, Lagos stood out with their uniform look.
Akpata and Ogbebor held their traditional wedding in May in Benin City, Edo State.
Among the attendees were Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki, comedian Ali Baba, and actor Richard Mofe-Damijo aka RMD.
The bride hails from the influential Ogbebor family of Bini Kingdom, Edo State.
She has a master of law (LLM) degree from the Queen Mary University of London and a bachelor of law degree (LLB) from the University of Essex.
Ogbebor is a top executive and the financial markets legal adviser at the Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc, Nigeria’s Central Securities Depository (CSD), licenced to carry on the depository, clearing and settlement of all transactions in the Nigerian capital market.
