Fast-rising actress Eyiyemi Afolayan, daughter of filmmaker Kunle Afolayan, has described her character Princess Omowunmi in Anikulapo.
Omawunmi, daughter of the king, fell in love with Saro, cloth weaver on the latter’s first visit to the palace.
Unfortunately for the princess, Saro had already fallen in love with the king’s youngest wife, Queen Arolake and they both began an affair.
Omawunmi discovered the affair and their plan to elope, she informed her mother who reported the matter to the king.
Speaking about her character with her father in a video posted on YouTube on Wednesday, October 19, Eyiyemi described Princess Omowunmi as one who appeared foolish and gullible.
She said: “Omowunmi is very foolish. Because I mean, Saro never proposed love to her but she started having ideas in her head. Omowunmi is beautiful no doubt, and Omowunmi is gullible.”
