Big Brother Naija reality stars Michael Ejeba, also known as Efe and Uriel Oputa could not hold back their tears as the body of Rico Swavey arrived at the Methodist Church of the Trinity, Tinubu Square in Lagos.
In a video uploaded to YouTube, the ex-housemate could be seen shedding tears as they followed the casket into the church.
Rico’s mum could also be seen sobbing quietly as the church service began.
Before the church service, Uriel shared a message on her Instagram story saying, “God please I don’t know how I am feeling. I want to vomit. My heart is racing. Rico I don’t want to see you like this. RIP handsome.”
A night of tributes and candle light held at Retro Citi, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Wednesday was attended by reality stars such as Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Alex Unusual, Cross, Phyna, Bella Okagbue, Nengi, Frodd, K Brule and Groovy.
Born Patrick Adebowale Fakoya, Rico was involved in a car crash which led to him being placed on life support. He died two days after the accident on Thursday, October 13, 2022.
The 30-year-old will be buried today at the Ebony Vaults in Ikoyi.
