Police have confirmed the death of a former political appointee in Ondo West Local Government Area simply identified as Olanrewaju.
The politician died at Step Down Hotel after an alleged sex romp with his lover on Wednesday around 9pm.
It was gathered that his lover raised the alarm when she realised that the man collapsed after taking his bath.
Manager of the hotel then alerted police officers from Enu-Owa Police Station.
The corpse was deposited at the morgue of the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital.
Ondo Police spokesman, Fumilayo Odunlami, said it was a suspected case of sudden and unnatural death.
Olanrewaju, 49, was said to have contested for a councillorship position.
