Princess Temi Oyediran, daughter of the Onpetu of Ijeru Kingdom in Oyo State, Oba Sunday Oyediran, it has been revealed, was among recent kidnap victims.
Oyediran was taken captive alongside others on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway last Friday by several gunmen.
The king’s daughter was released on Sunday night. It was not immediately clear if ransom was paid before her release.
According to The News Guru, sources said the palace has been informed about her release.
A source in the palace was quoted as saying that, “what is important is that she came back safely.”
Another high-profile victim of the Friday kidnap on the expressway is a professor of political science at the University of Ibadan, Adigun Agbaje.
The academic has also been released. It was also not clear if any ransom was paid for his freedom.
