Kenyan Gospel singer Mary Lincoln has talked about judgment and finding mercy days after her nude photos went viral.
The music artiste who claimed repentance after the photos went viral wrote to her Facebook followers on Monday, saying that when mercy speaks, judgment is cancelled.
She wrote: “When Mercy speaks, Judgement is cancelled and when Grace Speaks Protocol is broken. Mercy and Grace Speak for you Today. Have a Blessed week.”
Mary came under fire after her nude pictures were leaked and shared by blogger Martha Mwihaki Hinga, who is popular for publicising celebrity scandals, gaining massive followers.
According to Bishop Michael Wanderi, of Christian Fellowship Foundation (CFF), a remorseful Mary approached him during the scandal to ask for prayers and forgiveness.
In a photo shared on Facebook, Mary could be seen at the church, surrounded by the pastor and others who joined the latter in praying for the gospel singer.
Mary was accompanied by several other artistes including Shiru Wa GP, Joyce Irungu, Anne Lawrence, Karangu Muraya, and Judie Masila whom she thanked for the support they offered her during the scandal.
Speaking after the prayers, Mary also said she has repented and found mercy in God’s sight.
“Yes, we went to the Christian Foundation Fellowship (CFF) Church for repentance and forgiveness prayer. Our God is merciful and offers those who repent a second chance to resume service to him. What is important is that I am now full of renewed energy to continue ministering and spreading the love of our merciful and forgiving God,” she wrote on Facebook.
