Music artiste Kizz Daniel has arrived in Qatar where he will be performing at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The ‘Buga’ star announced his arrival in the country in an Instagram post on Tuesday morning where he posted photos of himself, tagging Qatar as his location.
Kizz Daniel will be performing on Wednesday, November 23 at the Al Bayt Stadium where the event is currently holding.
Other artistes slated to perform include American DJ Thomas Wesley better known as Diplo who would be performing today, November 22, Canadian actress, dancer and singer Nora Fatehi who is set to perform on November 29 after Kizz Daniel, American singer and songwriter Trinidad Cardona who would be performing on December 1 and award-winning DJ Calvin Harris set to perform on December 10.
The surprise of the Qatar 2022 World Cup opening ceremony was the appearance of Oscar Award-winning actor Morgan Freeman, who sent a message of inclusion to all soccer fans.
Freeman said: “What unites us is greater than what divides us. We are one big tribe and the Earth is our tent. Together we can make the call for everyone to unite.”
Thereafter, lead vocalist of the Korean pop band BTS, Jung Kook, thrilled fans at the Al Bayt Stadium with his performance alongside Qatari singer Fahad Al-Kubaisi.
Before he was announced as one of the headliners for the event, Kizz Daniel born Daniel Anidugbe had expressed his desire to perform his hit song ‘Buga’ at the World Cup.
Kizz Daniel said this in a tweet on June 23 after the release of the music video which became an instant hit.
He wrote: “God I want to perform BUGA for World Cup with a mass choir help me say amen #qatar2022worldcup.”
