Senator Shehu Sani has mocked the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) over the redesigned naira notes.
President Muhammadu Buhari unveiled the N1,000, N500 and N200 notes on Wednesday before the federal executive council meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The redesigned notes, which will go into circulation from December 15, have come under criticism on social media.
Adding his voice to the conversation, Sani wrote on Twitter, “If it’s Naira colour, the CBN should have just engaged Snapchat.”

The unveiling of the new redesigned notes hitherto slated for December 15 was brought forward to Wednesday by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Governor of the CBN Godwin Emefiele, who announced the shifting of the date on Tuesday at a media briefing to mark the end of the 288th monetary policy committee meeting and the last in 2022, urged those in possession of the old notes to hurriedly deposit them at the nearest bank branch.
