Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) Abike Dabiri-Erewa on Thursday met Zigima singer Bright Chimezie on Thursday in Ebonyi.
The pair met at the presidential campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Bright’s sound is a mixture of traditional Nigerian music and Igbo highlife fused with chanted vocals.
Dressed in campaign attire, Mrs Dabiri-Erewa posed for a photo with the legendary singer. “Nice to see Bright Chimezie at the APC rally in Ebonyi State,” she wrote.
The NIDCOM boss posted the photo to social media.
Ebonyi State is governed by the APC under the administration of David Umahi.
The party’s presidential candidate Bola Tinubu and his campaign train are also expected to visit Imo State, another south-eastern state under the party’s control.
On Saturday, the Lagos State chapter of the APC will hold a campaign rally for Tinubu at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere.
The State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has already announced traffic diversion ahead of the rally.
